National Speed Record
On the 21st September 2019, theBikeShed entered their 650cc production Bonneville in a timed trial at Elvington Airfield, North Yorkshire, to attempt a new National Speed record.

On an unexpectedly blistering hot day, that saw other motors failing, our Bonneville running on unmodified pump petrol, broke multiple National speed records. We're most proud of raising the bar to 117.946mph across 1 mile from a stationary standing start. This smashed our opening effort of 108.773mph in October 2016.

Now, in September 2020, with some exciting new enhancements, Hugh is back on the bike and will for one last time be looking to beat his record!
